PARSA has recently “inherited” the Bamyan Family Park and Women’s Garden, located just 30 minutes from Bamyan City, and we want to share our new venture.
Please join us at the Bamyan Family Park and Women's Garden!!!
Mark your calendars for October 14th, 15th and 16th when PARSA will feature Afghan chef and Hotelier Fauzia Assifi for some cooking lessons, and a chance to explore and enjoy the Bamyan Family Park and Women’s Garden.
This program is the first in the Bamyan Family Park series to highlight Afghan cultural and artistic traditions that were lost during Afghanistan's 30 years of war.

Ms. Assifi was the manager for the Intercontinental Hotel when it first opened before the Russian invasion. Her family had a rich tradition of authentic, old world Afghan cuisine and she became renowned for her own cooking of Afghan traditional food. Her menus include Afghan dishes that have been lost as a part of Afghan history. Ms. Assifi had to flee the country during the Russian occupation with her baby daughter. She returned to live in Afghanistan in 2003 and is dedicated to reviving Afghan hospitality services as well as traditional Afghan cuisine. Please join us and enjoy her art, her graciousness, her stories and her delicious meals.
